Inspired by Icarus, who dared to fly too near the sun on wings of feathers and wax. Icarus was told not to fly too close for his wings would melt. He fell in love with the sun, flew too high and plummeted to his death. The lesson learned for this mythological story is to play it safe and follow directions of those in hierarchy and experience.
What about playing it too safe—is there risk there also? Not exercising your full potential, not taking risks and not making mistakes to learn from. Dare to be bold-dare to fly to your highest ability.
It was said in Roman mythology that Arcus used rainbows as a means of transportation between communicating from one god to the next. Rainbows are elusive—chasing after a golden prize at the end of an arc made of hopes and dreams seems to be unattainable.
What if we stopped chasing and focused on the prize we have in front of us. These days we are all shifting to spend more quality time with friends, family and ourselves. What is a bigger prize than that? The Arcus Statement Earrings are designed to represent an endless rainbow; one that does not start or end. The golden prize of our hopes, dreams, success, fulfillment and happiness is all right in our own hands.
